Success Story

At a construction site in Delhi women suffered from weakness,body pain etc. At a construction site in Delhi women suffered from weakness,body pain etc. They would get doctors to treat them with glucose drips. This would give immediate relief but the problem would re-occur in a few days.They were suffering from anemia.

Our field workers got to know of this and arranged for Lok Dhoot, a local street theatre group with 30 years experience to put up a performance. They use media to communicate important social/health messages.

The play sensitized the women on the why and how of anemia. They discovered various sources of iron in their everyday diet amd the availability of free iron tablets at local government health centres.
