Success Story

Working children did not get the opportunity to interact and strengthen their skills . Working children did not get the opportunity to interact and strengthen their skills . Therefore their hidden talents were not recognized and their innovative ideas and skills were kept for themselves. They were not good at participation and communication.

Children from two villages Chandapur and Hale Chandapur of Ranibennur taluk gathered on 28th May 2010 and participated in cultural activities, sports, shared their learning experiences, intellectual skills through these competitions. Ranjitha, 6th standard student from Hale-Chandapur village who participated feels happy to get involved in various activities in a single day and says she will learn a lot from such picnic by interacting with children from neighboring villages. She feels such activity should be conducted at regular intervals by TRDC.

The activity enhanced their interest in education and also enhanced motivation among parents who also participated in the programme. This motivated children to go to regular school from the bridge school currently run by TRDC.
