Success Story

Khaleeda Begum was of five years old, having Cerebral Palsy with spastic diaplegia Khaleeda Begum was of five years old, having Cerebral Palsy with spastic diaplegia. she was unable to walk, speak and was finding it difficult to use her hand. Her father deserted the family because of the childs disability. Her mother somehow takes care of the family by selling flowers. Baby Khaleeda is the second child in her family.She was a constant worry for her mother who could not spend any money on her therapy.Kahleeda was gradually deteriorating.

APD admitted her to Shradhanjali Integrated School (SIS) within its campus and presently she is studying in 4th Standard. APD supports her education, and provides intensive therapy such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Cognitive Development and Social Integration Skills. These are essential for her to pursue her education.

After receiving all these therapy she has started to walk independently with the support of a walker. There is improvement in her functional activities, such as eating, toilet management, washing, playing, dancing, writing, drawing & colouring. She is able to Communicate and interact with others. She has developed self confidence & is able to study.
