Success Story

Nizambhai Shaikh is running a small hotel at Mira Road, Shah-e-Alam, Ahmedabad Asifbhai Nizambhai Shaikh - running a small hotel at Mira Road, Shah-e-Alam, Ahmedabad was concerned that many a young was inviting cancer by consuming gutka. He wanted to tell people to desist but did not know how to go about it.

JAREEDA posters were affixed in his locality by some good Samaritans. Asif happened to see one particularly scary one showing how Gutka causes cancer and how death is hastened. He proactively contacted SPRAT and asked for this poster.

Now Asif regularly exhibits our JAREED Posters at his restaurant. Indeed, he even explains the message within enthusiastically. He wants us to spread this message to others and is happy to support us in this work through his contacts. Other recent stories include: Imranbhai I Patel, a road-side tea vendor, was so moved by our anti-Child labour poster that he started funding the education of his own child labourers. A harassed father, Yusuf Jaffer Shaikh, was struggling to purchase a bike for his son just admitted to 11th Standard. Seeing our posters encouraging use of bicycles and discouraging borrowing for motorcycles for students, he put his foot down.
