Jayshree Joshi, the quintessential mother to the poor children, has been offering educational support Jayshree Joshi, the quintessential mother to the poor children, has been offering educational support, particularly in popular science, since 1991 through her NGO, ISAR (Institute for Social Action and Research) at 5, Vishwamitra Society, Jivraj Park, Ahmedabad. Much as her beneficiaries wanted and she desired she could not manage to set up a computer lab.

SPRAT had known her work with due admiration for some time. So it set up a 5-Computers lab duly networked, provided a complete set of course-ware on computer learning and English, and continues to monitor the progress, offering support in teaching, teacher evaluation, computer maintenance etc.

As a result ISAR has since been teaching quality English and Computer usage in addition to its existing curricula. They have served nearly a hundred students through this. SPRAT is happy to have been instrumental in this, without burdening itself with any operational issues. SPRAT website www.sprat.in will provide other such stories.
