Girdhari & Hallo migrated from Bihar eight years ago with their mother Ms. Guria Devi in search of job, as their father died due to chronic disease and poor financial condition. The living condition of these children was very poor & they were malnourished, as they do not eat food on time because their mother had to go out in search of job, so she use to barely prepare food for them. Most important thing is both the children were drop out from school.

Under the Family Strengthening Program Girdhari a 12 year old boy & Hallo is eight year old girl receives financial assistance for health, nutrition and education. The assistance provides to their mother Guria Devi as well which build confidence and helped her be the bread earner for her family. A bank account in her name was opened with regular assistance transfer to her account. The formal requirement of getting a residential proof certificate from the court through affidavit was successfully done with the social Center’s help. Guria Devi was trained adequately in the process of withdrawing required amount and methods of sustaining her family..

Now both the children are going to school regularly with sound health report and their proud mother is taking optimum care for her children’s education including their tuition classes. Goria Devi is considered as the idealistic working woman who has emerged successful in spite of all the storms that she faced in her lifeThe Family Strengthening Programme ensures educational, nutritional, health and psycho-social support to her family. As member of a self-help group, Guria Devi, participates in all group activities and receives regular assistance in resource generation and management skills. In future we are working to get insurance Policy in order to secure her and Children’s Future and help them more to get the maximum for their Survival.
