Rita Devi is 28 yrs belonging to below poverty line Dalit community. Rita Devi is 28 yrs belonging to below poverty line Dalit community. She cannot afford nutritional diet, medicine and health checkup. During her pregnancy; she had to work in the high risk environment. The family is unaware of importance of health checkups, Iron tablet and nutritional diet for the well being of mother and child. . She is anemic due to lack of nutrition and less health care .Her Husband works in the agriculture field as a daily wage earner and unable to maintain his family consisting of 8 Members.

Sugam Jagriti works in the village of target beneficiary and hence her Family Member approached us and narrated his problems. The organization members counseled the couple regarding pregnancy check up and nutrition to mother during pregnancy. His request was considered and support to Ms. Rita Devi was extended in the form of Nutritional diet, Health Checkup and medicines.

Rita Devi and her husband realized importance of pregnancy check up and nutrition to pregnant mother. The couple followed the suggestions and practiced mother health check up, used 100 IFA tablets and as a result delivered a healthy child. Such support is very beneficial for the individual and is able to control the increase of IMR/MMR in the national interest.
