Success Story

In working area, two thirds of families live below the poverty line. In working area, 2/3 of families live below the poverty line. Among them, most families are landless and very poor. They belong to backward/dalit caste. They are chronically starved and use to migrate to Goa / Bombay in search of livelihood. They use to get six-months employment, in season. The conditions of landless, poor community, especially women are extremely worse and in vulnerable situation

We have organized awareness program, Garment training to the identified young women, for three months. 80 members have benefited.

The trained women are getting orders from local schools, readymade cloth merchants for stitching cloths. They are earning Rs.40-50 per day. These efforts have motivated to other young women are showing interest in this regard.
