Success Story

Father of Kalaivani deserted her family when she was just 4 years. Father of Kalaivani deserted her family when she was just 4 years. Her mother is working as a housemaid for a living. Unable to educate her child, she left Kalaivani in our care. When basic education itself is a question mark, it will impossible for the family to take a child on an outing.

Camps and tours to places make the learning of children complete. We organize trips to places of tourist interest, ancient temples, historic interest and heritage sites in and around Chennai, Thiruvallur. The trip by the van itself is a joyful experience with children singing songs and playing games - a change from the routine. They also get to know each other well and mingle freely among themselves.

35 children from our class were taken to Children and Snake Park at Guindy on Nov 18 2009. We all went by our school van. We saw different types of snakes. There were many boards in the park, which gave details about the snakes. Our teacher also explained to us about the snakes. We saw many crocodiles and other animals also. Lot of rare kinds of birds was also there. After lunch, we went to the deer park and saw many types of deers. We saw many monkeys, and a white peacock there. A peacock spread out its beautiful tail and danced, which was a wonderful sight. We then played in the swings and slides in the nearby park for sometime and then went back to the hostel.In this tour we could see directly many birds and animals which we have seen only on Television. We had a very good time playing games, singing and dancing in the van. On the whole it was a very memorable trip for us.
