Dinesh is a rag picker and student of our learning centre Dinesh is a rag picker and student of our learning centre at Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, Delhi. He used to often fall sick due to cuts & bruises suffered while rag picking. He had cuts on his leg and hands and suffered frequent skin problems.

Child Survival India provides him monthly health checkup and necessary medicines. We also made him aware of the health hazards and necessary precautions he should take. Now he puts on slippers/shoes, plastic packets as gloves and uses iron-hook to handle garbage. he also uses cloth-mask on his nose so that he does not inhale poisonous gas from the garbage

Now his health status has considerably improved.His skin disease is cured and his body weight has increased. He now looks more fresh and energetic. He also shared this information with his other rag picker friends and some of them have adopted these safe health practices.
