Success Story

The poor girl children of Pudukkottai district Tamilnadu were mostly school dropouts. The poor girl children of Pudukkottai district Tamilnadu were mostly school dropouts. Most of them engaged in labour work in quarries, bricks kilns, gem cutting, loading and unloading (lorry) and fish processing. The laborious work was affecting them physically and stealing their childhood. Few of them became sex trade victims.

Saratha, 19 years daughter of Selvam, along with 24 women and girls underwent the skill training on tailoring and garment making conducted by ROSI. ROSI Foundation is supporting the trainees women for employment and self employment after completion of training.

She will complete the training with in the next five months and then she will start a small business with the help of Govt subsidy and loan that will be facilitated by ROSI foundation. She was averted from becoming a victim of trafficking. Her life is free of abuse and exploitation toward economical independence.
