Success Story

Mrs. Pattu W/o Kadammban was living in Puthali village, Kancheepuram District. Mrs. Pattu W/o Kadammban was living in Puthali village, Kancheepuram District. Though she had two sons and one daughter, she lived with her husband separetely as the siblings got married and settled out side. Mrs. Pattu was once a casual labourer and she was not able to go for work and to do her domestic work due to poor eye sight. She lost her eye sight fully due to catract.

ASSCOD conducted an eye camp on 08/04/2006. Mrs. Pattu was one of the patients and she was screened and found with catract problems in her both eyes. We enabled her to undergo catract surgeries in different dates at free of cost in Rainbow Eye Hospital and provided her quality spectacles.

After the successful surgery, she gained 50% eye sight and after providing quality eye glasses she restored with normal eye sight. She is now going for agricultural work and earns a reasonable income to feed both she and her husband. She is now independent and feels very much happy to be independent
