Success Story

Purnachandra Rao 15, is a native of Bapuji colony, Tangutur. Purnachandra Rao 15, is a native of Bapuji colony, Tangutur. Purnachandra and his brother both have a hearing impairment. He wants to pusue his education, but was unable to concentrate and cope with the lessons in the class room due to his disability.

SARDS provided speech therapy at their centre. With this therapy he started pronouncing words better and passed Grade 5. He joined Kranthi school outside his village for Grade 6 since his village school offers only primary education. SARDS mobilized a hearing aid through a external support and provided Purna a bus pass to go to school. The school fees and note books were also arranged.

Purnachandrarao will complete Grade 9 this year. With the support extended by SARDS he could study without any financial burden to his family. He plans to study further and get a decent job so he can provide for his family. His family is very pleased to hear this.
