Success Story

Miss Sini was perusing her masters degree in a government college when she developed fever, swelling & itching in the lower limb with infection and offensive discharge. Her classmates and close friends avoided her and she dropped out of college. The family was mainly depended on beedi rolling for the income. She was forced to roll beedis at home which further deteriorated her condition

We admitted her and gave psychological support by counseling. Her parents and she were trained on the procedure of integrative treatment. Since the patient was very poor we identified a donor to donate compression materials and oil for her home based self care. We provided telephonic counseling regularly to monitor the continuity of treatment at home. Motivating letters were regularly sent to her to further psychological support the family.

She is almost 85% better now. Her swelling, repeated fever episodes discharge and eczematous eruption has completely disappeared. The ugly skin has regained its normal colour. She pursued her post graduation in the Kannur University and works as a clerk in a company. She supports her family now and regularly following the self care learnt from IAD.
