Udhaya, a 21/2 year old boy is the elder son of poor parents. Udhaya, a 21/2 year old boy is the elder son of poor parents. Even though his parents noticed his innate talents, they could not tap these due to their total illiteracy. The parents were busy trying to make a living and left Udhaya to his fate

HESAT introduced a Child Day Care Centre in their village Pallankallimedu. At first, people, including Udhaya’s parents, were not interested. We counseled and convinced the villagers that leaving their children at the Day Care Centre would really make a big difference in the growth and well being of the children

After a stint in the centre, Udhaya showed promising improvement. He understood everything and skilled in learning his lessons by heart. He was able to recite long poems without difficulty. He has developed skills in singing, story telling, and athletics as well
