Asha is a widow aged about 20 years Asha is a widow aged about 20 years. After her husband died in an accident his parents threw her out of their home. She had no means to look after herself and nowhere to go. She needed a shelter and the means to support herself

VEDS identified the need to assist such women and established a rehabilitation unit in Bangalore Such women are taken care by our organization and provided with boarding and lodging. Asha was counseled and admitted to our shelter. She was enrolled in our vocational courses based on her capacity

She underwent a year’s tailoring training in our centre. After the completion of the training she was assisted to get a job in a garment factory. Now she is self supportive and leading a decent life
