All Mumbai positions are preferably full time and based out of our
office at Khetwadi. We expect people in senior positions like division
heads and the CTO to work 55-60 hours a week. However, we are very open
to exceptionally talented second career women who can work hard but

Description:
GiveIndia is looking to recruit bright young
individual for its Technology team.
Technology is the key for an efficient, viable and scalable online
donation platform. An experience in the evolution of the Internet space
as it happens; behavioral trends of online customers and impact of UI
design on customer buying process in an e-Commerce site are key
learning's in this role. A peek into understanding of behind-the-scene
operations at an organization will be valuable in any sector you choose
to eventually take up.

applications for use by GiveIndia itself, as well as by NGOs and the

GiveIndia is a donation platform that allows visitors to support a
cause of their choice from 250+ NGOs that have been screened for
credibility and transparency. And it is the Online Giving team that is
responsible for promoting the online presence of GiveIndia – from
acquiring new donors to encouraging current donors to continue their
relationship with GiveIndia.
Over the past few years, we have been using a combination of techniques
to reach our goal; ranging from newsletters and customized
communication to our current base, to improving the user-experience of
the website, to reaching out to new customers through direct mailers
from supporting sites. Over the last 2 years we have grown more than
50% p.a.
So if you are a young, dynamic and enterprising individual who wants to
be part of a high growth team and will work towards making that happen,
Internet Giving is the place for you.
GiveIndia is looking for a young and dynamic Search specialist to join
its Online Giving team. The right candidate will get the opportunity to
drive the complete SEO/SEM strategy from ideating to planning to
execution and will be completely responsible for the revenue targets
under this stream. We are typically looking for individuals with 2-5
years experience of working in firms specializing in SEO/SEM
activities. The individual should be a go-getter and require minimal
hand-holding and should be able to work without a high level of
supervision. The role requires working towards tight deadlines with a
great deal of target orientation.
The right candidate will have a chance to experiment with an Adwords
budget of $40,000 p.m. without any risk associated with the money as we
are a recipient of the Google Grants programme. He/She will be able to
suggest site structure, architecture and navigation in a manner to aid
search optimization and provide the best results.
We are an organization that is growing rapidly and would want each of
its employees to also grow fast. Your target would be to increase our
visits from search results by at least 50% over the course of a year.
While this may sound easy, it is not as we have internally been working
on search related optimization for more than 5 years and hence have
already achieved a certain level. Your challenge will be to
significantly surpass this.
Key Role Requirements
• Design campaign strategy, define key performance indicators and
manage execution of campaigns
• Hands-on optimization, including keyword/phrase research, site
structure, page construction, content, and SEO copywriting
• Optimize various web site components including title tags,
meta-descriptions, keyword density, internal linking, sitemap, etc
• On-page / Off-page optimization, Link building
• Analyze & conduct web research including competitor
intelligence
• Using web-based tools (e.g. Google Analytics) report on site KPI's
and user trends and determine implications for future planning
• Maximize search engine optimization of the existing sites
• Track, analyze and generate reports on effectiveness of marketing
programs
• Knowledge of HTML and able to make changes related to search
optimization on their own

Manager - Listing (Mumbai) |

GiveIndia is
a donation platform that allows donors to support 250+ NGOs that have
been screened for credibility. We channel over Rs20cr p.a., from
50,000+ donors. Listing in GiveIndia is the process whereby NGOs are
identified and their funding needs are conveyed to the donors through
the online platform developed by GiveIndia. The criteria for
identification of NGOs include norms on accountability, transparency
and good governance. The process is very detailed and comprehensive to
ensure that the NGOs being supported are genuine. This includes
rigorous due diligence of the NGOs prior to listing, ensuring that they
provide feedback reports to donors on how their money was used, and
verifying through various checks and balances that the money is used as
intended.
Listing team is planning to hire people to work on evaluating the NGOs
as per GiveIndia’s listing criteria. The person should be willing to
travel 50-60% of the time for the purpose of evaluation. This is a
field visit role and some basic accounting knowledge is required as the
person will have to verify vouchers, tally figures with the accounts,
etc
Skills required
• Ability to plan, co-ordinate and conduct visits to the NGOs including
program areas and interact with NGO staff, beneficiaries and board
members
• Basic knowledge of accounting
• Good analysis skills with proficiency in Excel
• Proficiency in English with good communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency including MS office. Knowledge of Tally
desirable
Qualification
Post graduates preferably from IRMA/IIRM/XISS/IIFM with accounting
background (B.Com/M.Com)
Experience
Atleast 2 years experience in the NGO sector, preferably in
evaluation/review of NGOs and their programmes/projects/activities.

conversant with Java and open source internet technologies like Drupal,
Joomla, Ruby on rails, etc. An aptitude to "search the net" for plug
and play tools and finding "appropriate tech solutions" to "fix
problems" is essential. The candidate would be between 18-30 years of
age (definitely under 35), and would have already built at least a few
websites.This is a critical position for us. Pay will be reasonable and

As Head - NGO Relationships, you will not only
monitor
and manage this, but also build on the existing platform as follows:
• Continuously strengthen the due-diligence process by
periodically reviewing the criteria
• Understand donor behavior and requirements to come up with
new donation ideas that can boost donations, and to reach out and
“sell” listing to interesting organisations
• Understand NGO and development realities on the ground, create
donation ideas that improve donor understanding of social problems and
engagement with them

As the Head of the Internet Giving team you will head a team of 4-5
people covering the entire gamut of Internet-related activities such as
SEO/SEM, campaigns & promotions, online events, donor
communication, website usability and enhancing support for NGOs/donors
with regards to fundraising. In addition, you will also be responsible
for online relationships with channel partners as a way of increasing
funds raised by GiveIndia. You will also be responsible for
interactions with media on matters related to use of Internet in
philanthropy.
As part of the role, a key component will be towards planning and
execution of India's first online fundraising event - India Giving
Challenge (www.GiveIndia.org/IGC), which channeled more than Rs. 2
crores to ~120 NGOs all over India in its second edition this year.
To succeed in this role, you will need a high level of enthusiasm and
energy and an ability to work 60-hr weeks. You will be successful if
you show a high degree of execution focus and take ideas from concept
to planning to execution in the shortest possible time. The role
requires working towards deadlines with a great deal of target

We are looking at candidates who are 25-35 years old with 3-5 years
experience in the Internet domain. This is a long term career option so
