Success Story

Al-Safeer, a 14-year-old boy, is a Cerebral palsy affected child. He had underdeveloped muscles of the limbs and torso. Al-Safeer, a 14-year-old boy, is a Cerebral palsy affected child. He had underdeveloped muscles of the limbs and torso. Also he had developed a curved spine and limbs. As a result, he had a totally wrong posture (slouched position) and could stand only with support.

In 2004, with help from Adarsh, he underwent specialized orthopedic surgery, for correction of posture as well as straightening of limbs. All through this procedure, Adarsh was very cooperative. Post –operative physiotherapy, which is crucial, was also given at Adarsh.

Al-Safeer is now a regular at Adarsh. Of a pleasing disposition, he is taking to the rigorous physiotherapy, advised by doctors, with a calm attitude and toothy smile. His posture has become normal and he is now very much on the road to walking independently, though yet to gain full usage of his limbs.
