Success Story

Children are one of the most vulnerable to disasters and epidemics in coastal villages.

Children are one of the most vulnerable to disasters and epidemics in coastal villages. Children in rural areas are very much neglected due to poverty and lack of health facilities. Due to unhygienic conditions and practices makes children to suffer from fever, cold, cough, anemia, warms, diarrhea. It results the school absenteeism and school dropout rate in coastal villages.

We have conducted a number of health camps and distributed medicines. A team of doctors along with volunteers help these children. The awareness among other age groups has also increased and they are taking precautions, health measures and practices. We give special care to them which are anemic due to warms. The health camps play a key role in reducing the health problems of children. Poor people have no health awareness and cannot take preventive measures against common illnesses.
In 2010 we have conducted health camps in 2 Government schools for 150 students with assistance of Indian medical association and Red Cross. Now these school children are regular to school and paying interest in education and games and sports.
