Success Story

Paulsingh, aged 38, came to Amar Seva Sangam as a frail Paulsingh, aged 38, came to Amar Seva Sangam as a frail man with an extremely low morale. Having fallen from a tree, he had a severe spinal injury which led to loss of sensation and failure of urinary bladder control

Amar Seva Sangam trained Paulsingh in activities related to daily living skills and provided him with a wheelchair to facilitate his mobility. Sessions were conducted to strengthen his tissues through active and passive movements. Paulsingh during his stay at the Sangam was provided vocational training in computers, hands on experience at the Sangam school and refresher courses in the field of education. Being a B.Ed, he was also encouraged to take up teaching assignments at the Sangam s integrated school.

Today, after four years of treatment and training, Paulsingh is a confident and independent man with decent earnings from Amar Seva Sangam s school. He has got promotion to higher grades in the field of education is now teaching children in his own village He moves around comfortably and performs all the activities of his day-to-day life. He manages to save a small part of his income and sends it to his sister every month
