Success Story

Women are most neglected in the society. Women are most neglected in the society. They bear the brunt of the responsibilities to run the family but receive hardly any appreciation. They are subjected to abuse, exploitation and oppression. The situation was no different at our area of operation.

ERDS motivated the women to form self help groups. At the camps the members were briefed about the group dynamics and the role of the group and its leaders. The training stressed upon the fact that the role of leaders is very important to keep alive the group. It also cautioned the leaders that they need to be receptive and understanding instead of dominating

The leaders have become very much active to motivate the members to meet at a regular monthly meeting. In case of any problem the leaders are available to counsel the members to overcome the problems. The leaders are also trying to motivate the members to take active interest in the day to day operation of the group.
